After finishing his PhD in 2010, Dennie worked in three postdoc positions in the fields of toxicology, toxicogenomics and regenerative medicine. All of these positions had "Big Data" as the common denominator and during his last postdoc in MERLN, he coordinated the development of the cBiT data repository, a biomaterial-based transcriptomics database. He now works as a project manager for MERLN where he also fulfills the role of data steward, coordinates data management-related activities, and uses his background in research to help out in ongoing research projects. He is a member of the MERLN Outreach team and serves as the FHML Open Science Ambassador within the Open Science Community (OSC) task force of the UM.
