Controlling cellular fate in 3D environment via ligand-integrin interaction

Dina holds a bachelor's degree in dental medicine and surgery. She transitioned from clinical dentistry to research by earning a master's degree in biotechnology from the American University in Cairo, Egypt. She conducted her master's thesis in Northeastern University in Boston, USA. Subsequently, she embarked on a journey to pursue a Ph.D. degree in the Biomedical Engineering department at Eindhoven University of Technology, NL.

In October 2023, Dina became part of the IBE department at the MERLN Institute as a post-doctoral researcher. Her research is primarily focused on investigating the role of ligand-integrin interactions in guiding the cellular fate of both stem cells and immune cells within a 3D nanocomposite environment.
