Marianne van der Steen is Professor of Entrepreneurship in Healthcare and the Chief Business Development Officer of MERLN Institute. Marianne is founding director of REGMED XB, a translational institute with an investment of EUR 250 million, which translates groundbreaking Regenerative Medicine technologies into commercial products and companies. Her research focus is on biomedical entrepreneurship, specifically on the scaling-up of ventures. She is part-time faculty at the University of California Irvine. Since 2006, she has been involved as founder, consultant, business developer and coach in life sciences start-ups.
