
Amit Chandrakar is from India and came to the Netherlands to do his PhD at Maastricht University, under the guidance of Dr. Paul Wieringa. He completed his bachelor in Mechanical engineering at Bhilai Institute of Technology, India. In 2014, he moved to France to pursue a master of science in design of systems and products at Ecole Centrale de Nantes. After graduation, he worked as a freelance for 10 months in Austria.
His research interest lies more toward technical domains like CAD, Modelling and Additive Manufacturing, but he is also interested in fields like Biology and Chemistry. His work at MERLIN is focus on product development of melt electrospinning processes, to develop scaffolds for bone regeneration applications.
