Bioprinting on-chip microphysiological models of humanized kidney tubulointerstitium

Jopeth is a Chemical Engineer in which he uses the core concepts of engineering into biology. His previous projects involved biomaterials synthesis (hydrogels, microparticles, and nanofibers), controlled release, and airway tissue engineering. He also worked significantly with the design and fabrication of novel bioreactors, in which it involved computational design and experimental characterisation using six sigma tools and residence time distribution. The project Jopeth is currently working with is on generating kidney organoid models, wherein he will combine Bioprinting, microfluidics, and iPSC biology to generate kidney models for drug and viral toxicity screening.
