We are happy to announce that Aurélie Carlier receives an ERC Starting Grant for the project AUTOMATHIC. In AUTOMATHIC, Aurélie and her team will develop cutting-edge tools to build computer models in an automated way. They will then apply these new tools to create a detailed computer model of the kidney. By simulating various scenarios with this digital kidney, Aurélie will investigate how the kidney removes medications and how this process differs in patients with, for example, reduced kidney function. As such, the long-term aim of AUTOMATHIC is to design safer and personalized therapies for kidney disease patients.
