Dennie Hebels has been appointed as the Open Science ambassador for the Faculty of Health Medicine and Life Sciences (FHML). Open Science is currently changing the world of publishing and scholarly communication fundamentally. New approaches in scientific processes are being explored to open up science and scientific results, and to improve findability, accessibility, interoperability and reusability (FAIR) of all kinds of research data. To stimulate Open Science within the UM (and following similar initiatives in other Dutch universities), the Open Science Community Maastricht (OSCM) was founded with the aim to include researchers from all career stages, faculties, and levels of Open Science experience in incorporating Open Science in their workflows. As Open Science ambassador Dennie will concentrate on creating awareness of Open Science, sharing information, organizing Open Science events, and representing the OSCM.
