Mor Dickman and Vanessa LaPointe receive ZonMw Open Competition grant

Congratulations to Mor Dickman and Vanessa LaPointe who, together with Jo Huiqing Zhou from Radboud University, have received the ZonMw Open Competition grant for their CorneaRegID project.

The current treatment for cornea damage depends on stem cells in the patient's own healthy eye. No treatment is available for patients with two injured eyes. In the CorneaRegID project, our scientists will develop a novel regenerative technology to convert patient's skin and mouth cells into cornea stem cells to restore vision.
