Public speaking seminar

The MERLN workshop team has invited Tanner Carden to inform us how to improve our public speaking. The seminar will take place in our conference rooms (C3.577) from 15:00 till 16:00.

Tanner has challenged the crowd of public speaking since he was a little boy. He will inform us how to upgrade your public speaking skills!
Whether you're defending a thesis, pitching for funding, making an announcement, or competing for a prize, the ability to speak to a crowd is vital to your success. This 1-hour seminar will teach you the basics of presentation, pitching, or just speaking on stage. It's not as hard as you think and anyone can do it once you get over the stage fright. Tanner Carden is an American Ex-pat living and working in Maastricht. He is the CEO, co-founder, and managing director of Nestegg Biotech BV, a laboratory automation start-up located here in the Brightlands Maastricht Health Campus! Tanner has been a public speaker since childhood, and now he pitches across Europe for funding and more! Tanner will show you the basics of public speaking and simple tips to help anyone required to get on stage and talk about anything. Through the seminar, you will learn easy ways to prepare for speaking to a crowd, how to compose yourself on stage, and how to handle when things go wrong. (They always do!)”
