Aditi obtained her Bachelors degree in Biotechnology at BMS College of Engineering in India. She then completed a Masters degree in Molecular Cell Biology at the University of Bonn, Germany. Intrigued by the multidisciplinary approach to tissue engineering and the intricate relationship between cells and materials, Aditi became especially interested in reconstructing functional tissue architectures that mimic native structures.
Throughout her graduate studies, she engaged in diverse projects spanning cell-derived matrices from microtissues, bioprinting, organ-on-chip platforms, and anisometric hydrogels for coculture systems during her thesis at the Leibniz Institute in Aachen. Afterwards, she worked for 1 year as a research assistant contributing to the NEOLIVER project and gained experience in multicellular spheroid formation and microfluidic encapsulation.
In 2026, Aditi joined the MERLN Institute as a PhD candidate on the NWO MeatUp project with Zuyd Hogeschool. Her research focuses on the development of scalable biomaterials technologies for muscle and fat tissue engineering in cellular agriculture.
