Sarah joined the Cell Therapy Lab at MERLN as a Senior Technician. Here she supports research on cell-based therapies for chronic ocular diseases. Her work includes maintaining cell cultures, assisting with iPSC-derived models, performing molecular techniques such as qPCR, immunostaining and flow cytometry, etc.

Before joining MERLN, Sarah worked in several research settings, where she gained experience with projects related to cartilage repair, autoimmune disease and immuno-oncology. These roles helped her build a practical and technical approach to daily lab work. She also developed familiarity with quality assurance and lab organisation.

With a background in Biotechnology (Cell & Gene Technology), Sarah enjoys supporting colleagues, learning new methods and contributing to the steady progress of the lab. She likes to bring her “we can do this” mindset along the way.
