PhD Student

Bottom-up regeneration of musculoskeletal tissues using cell-instructive micron-sized biomaterials

Ke comes from Anhui province, centre of China. He obtained his Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Pharmaceutics from Liaoning University in China. During his studies, he specialized in creating intelligent biocompatible materials for delivering drug targeting tumor, according to a specific tumor micro-environment. Then he worked as a formulation scientist for one year. After which Ke joined MERLN institute in October 2020, pursuing his Phd in bottom-up tissue regeneration.

By constructing a repertoire of selected biofunctional cell-rich modules, he aims to freely combine multiscale-assembled microtissues utilizing biomaterials to reach a better bio-mimetic layout, and advance tissue engineered constructs toward more realistic clinical applications.
